helping you make easier information
Easy Read Templates
Our easyread templates are ready to download when you log in to your photosymbols account.
Templates includes preformatted text and placeholder images. You edit these by typing in your own words and adding photosymbols or other pictures.
Our easyread templates are designed to be clear and accessible. We try to bring the best of accessibility and the best of good design together.
So far we've developed templates for booklets, letters, posters, storyboards, invites and a weekly activity planner - available as Microsoft Word or Apple Pages documents.
There's no reason why easyread and good design should be enemies. In fact, we can learn a lot about how type, graphics and white space can work together to make better easy-read.
A quick look
Easyread booklet »
This 8 page template is easy to design and print out yourself. Keeping it short is part of making information easier, so you're encouraged to write 5 short paragraphs per page. With a couple of pages kept for highlighting main points using bigger pictures.
Organising a meeting »
If you are involving people with learning disabilities then you'll want to make meetings more accessible. You can use our templates for meeting minutes, invite and agenda for this.
Telling a story »
We are big fans of the storyboard. It places the emphasis on photos rather than words. And if you think about it, you can tell almost any story in 8 pictures. Give it a try.
