Since the release of Design Mode earlier this year, we know that many of you have been looking forward to being able to customise the recommended templates that we included when we first introduced it. So we’re excited to let you know about our latest change, which gives you the flexibility to add, remove or reorder pages in your Design Mode document. The aim is to make it easier to adapt your layout to fit your message.
When you next log in, you’ll spot a button at the top of your screen that allows you to Show Thumbnails.
From there you get a preview of all the pages in your document.
You can work with these in a number of ways:
Clicking and dragging them to change the page order,
Using the cross in the top right of each page to delete it from the document, or
Choosing to add a new page using the plus icon.
We’ve included a number of different page styles, including several new pages not previously included in our original templates. You'll have much more control over how your final document looks, with peace of mind that each page is based on our tried and tested templates, geared towards making your information accessible and visually appealing.
The addition of thumbnails also makes organising your documents much easier. Page previews will now appear in your Documents folder in Organise, so you can see at a glance which documents you’ve been working on.

We hope you enjoy experimenting with this new way of working - and as always, we’d love you to tell us what you think. Whether you respond to a call-out in our newsletter, or speak to us in person at a live Zoom event, feedback from the Photosymbols community is invaluable as we continue tweaking and improving things. Remember you can always get in touch with us by emailing ask@photosymbols.com too.
