ADD-ON LICENCE
Extended Use Licence
For businesses and professionals creating Easy Read for others — the licence you need to create materials for third parties.
What is Extended Use?
A standard Photosymbols subscription covers materials for your own organisation. If you create Easy Read for other organisations — whether you charge for it or not — you need an Extended Use Licence.
Who needs this licence?
◆ Easy Read businesses creating materials for clients
◆ Freelancers and consultants offering Easy Read services
◆ NHS trusts or local authorities creating materials for partner organisations
◆ Charities helping other organisations with accessible communications
How It Works
The Extended Use Licence is an add-on to any Photo Library subscription. Choose the subscription tier that matches the number of users in your team, then add the Extended Use Licence.
Example: A two-person Easy Read business would take a Small Team subscription (3 users) plus the Extended Use Licence.
With an Extended Use Licence you can:
✓ Create Easy Read materials for clients and third parties
✓ Charge for your Easy Read services
✓ Deliver materials for other organisations to publish
✓ Support partner organisations with accessible communications
Attribution Required
All materials created under this licence must include:
"Images from the Photosymbols Picture Bank, copyright Photosymbols."
You don't need this licence for:
◆ Materials for your own organisation
◆ Sharing your own published materials via resource banks
◆ Joint projects where your organisation remains the publisher
Subscription and Renewal
The Extended Use Licence runs alongside your Photo Library subscription — both renew together annually.
Good to know: If your licence ends, you can no longer create new materials for third parties. However, materials already delivered remain valid.
